Enabling the Young - Part II
I would like to feedback on the Seminar on Enabling Peopla throughTechnology and Environmental design that was carried out at KSKB yesterday.Speakers:

We also had chance to listen for 1st hand information from specialguests to speak their experience being w/chair and cruthes users

40 participants + 37 students were present.This seminar also created another milestone for the profession to work together with Perwira K9 (association for spinal cord injur fromK9 HKL)with the presence of Secretary, Raz and Treasurer, Zul during the seminar. We hope that we could continue such activities and update each other on any new development.

Enabling the Young
Dear all,
OT KSKB and MOTA would like to organise a day seminar on Enabling people through technology and environmental design. It will be on the12 July 2005. Speaker is from University Queensland, Australia.
This seminar will examine how occupational therapists have traditionally prescribed devices and modified the environment to accommodate impairments and the consequences of using this type of approach. It will also examine new conceptual frameworks such as the International Classification of Function (ICF) and how these approaches have altered the way in which devices and the environment are considered and how occupational therapists work to improve the lives of people with disabilities. It will also outline the range of technologies that can enable people with disabilities to live satisfying and productive lives.
It will also examine the evolution of design approaches and how these can change the way in which people with disabilities live and function in the community. We still have not decided whether to have it for a small scale seminar or do it for bigger capacity. Your response is highly appreciated.

The Young Start
Assalamualaikum & Very Good Day!
Alhamdulillah syukur kepada Allah di atas pengurnian ini.Thank you for the trust given to me to lead our organisation. We need all the support to ensure we can bring MOTA to become a strong and reputable organisation.I believe these new MOTA Executives which are mixture of various sectors can make a different and progress from what we are now to somewhere we deserved for.
As thought by the WFOT "……We need to move confidently into our future and ensure that where we are going is where we want to be. In order to do that we need to participate in and comment on the societal issues of today at both a local and an international level."
Thank you for all the greeting and would very much appreciated all the comments and hopes. We will start the 1st meeting on 4th June2005 where the handing-over from previous executives will be takenplaces. From there we shall start the MOTA business……
